What is OffCampusReview?
OffCampusReview is a platform where college students can read and write anonymous reviews about off-campus landlords, housing companies, and rental properties near their university. Our goal is to help students make more informed housing decisions through the use of community and network.
Who can write a review?
Any verified user can write a review. Simply sign in with your college provided email address and share your rental experience. Reviews are anonymous to protect your identity.
Are reviews anonymous?
Yes, all reviews are posted anonymously. Your name and personal information are never displayed alongside your review. We only require sign-in to prevent spam and ensure review quality.
How do I search for my school?
Use the search bar on the homepage to find your college or university. You can search by school name, and we'll show you all the landlords and reviews associated with that campus.
Can landlords remove negative reviews?
No. Landlords cannot remove or edit reviews. We believe in transparency and giving students an honest picture of their potential housing. Reviews are only removed if they violate our community guidelines.
My school isn't listed. Can I add it?
We're adding campuses regularly, but schools can't be added by submitting a review — you'll need to pick your university from the list when you write one. If yours isn't there yet, email us at contact@offcampusreview.com and we'll look at getting it added.
Is OffCampusReview free to use?
Yes, OffCampusReview is completely free for students. Reading reviews, writing reviews, and searching for housing information costs nothing.
